Journey to mental wellness.

We all experience highs and lows along the path we carve. I’m here as a clinical psychologist to provide mental health services as a way to navigate through some of those places where you need support. Job stress, relationship struggles, financial worries…these challenges that come with life can be overwhelming and leave us feeling isolated and alone. But, you don’t have to struggle in solitude.

As humans, we are wired for connection. We thrive when we feel seen and understood; when we are aligned with our authentic selves and are in relationships that support these key elements. However, for a variety of reasons—messages we internalize from our families of origin, and our wider culture in general— we learn to detach from our emotions, put up walls to protect ourselves from hurt, and end up feeling disconnected from our true selves.

Therapy can be a place to tune in to our inner compass, learn to be present with the moment, gain understanding of our unique selves, develop skills, and gain tools to help build positive, healthy relationships. I am honoured to be invited into my clients’ lives and do the work that I do. I would look forward to building a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship with you.

Our Clinicians

Dr. Amy Wendell, Psy. D.

It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings.
